It was sort of overcast but still bright outside to give you an idea of the light coming in. The daytime photos and videos were captured with a medium amount of ambient light. The door closer to the screen is covered by a blackout curtain, while the door further away is covered by a light filtering shade.

Just to the left of the screen is a 4m wide set of sliding glass doors to the balcony. The UHD50x is on its widest setting (1.31x) and is throwing the image 3.4m (11’2”) onto a 323 cm (127”) diagonal on a white wall. In the end I don’t use the lens shift at all (the UHD30 was not an option anyway as it was not available in Australia when I bought this one). So I flipped it over and flipped the projected image as well and it fit the space much better. When I tried to fix it with the lens shift, I could only make it higher, not lower. I also didn’t realise the lens shift only worked in one direction - so when I set it up for the first time and turned it on, half of the image was on the wall and the other half on the ceiling. It is inverted as I did not realize how high it would throw the image - my Anker projector is more straight on with its projected image. Projector is sitting inverted at about eye level on a shelf above my pc. Apart from borrowing a friend’s old Benq a couple times, the last 3 months with the Prizm II is the totality of my experience with projectors. That projector is a solid 1080p casual movie/tv watching experience in a dark room but is completely washed out by any ambient light, and the input lag is awful. I jumped on a deal for an Anker Prizm II in December 2019 as it was only $130 USD on Amazon. Please keep in mind that I am fairly new to projectors. On paper the UHD50x specs looked exactly like what I wanted, but it's difficult to drop that kind of $$ without knowing for sure. I decided to make this post because I wish I had this info while I was on the fence between the UHD50x, GT1080HDR, GT1090HDR, HD/HZ39HDR, and HD142/143/144/148x. I received my UHD50x this week (similar models are the UHD42 and UHD30 in other regions) and thought I'd provide my impressions of it.
